These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of FinanceCompass and its website at financecompass.io (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Nothing on FinanceCompass constitutes financial advice, investment advice, trading advice, tax advice, legal advice, or any other professional financial guidance. All content — including tool results, AI-generated narratives, articles, data visualizations, and any other material — is published for informational, educational, and general interest purposes only.
No content on this Service should be construed as a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or otherwise transact in any security, digital asset, commodity, futures contract, options contract, or any other financial instrument. Past performance is not indicative of future results. All investing involves risk, including the possible loss of all invested principal.
You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions. Always conduct your own due diligence and consult a licensed financial advisor, registered investment advisor, or other qualified professional before making financial decisions.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. The Service is not directed at persons under 13 years of age. If you are between 13 and 18, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
2. Account registration
Creating an account requires a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and to keep it up to date. Accounts created with false information or used by a person other than the registered user may be suspended or terminated without notice.
3. Permitted use
Subject to these Terms and payment of any applicable subscription fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not sublicense, resell, or otherwise transfer this license.
4. Prohibited conduct
You agree that you will NOT, under any circumstances:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, our servers, databases, or any system connected to the Service.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any related network or system without our express written authorization.
- Conduct or facilitate penetration testing, fuzzing, injection attacks, man-in-the-middle attacks, or any form of security research against our infrastructure without a signed authorization agreement.
- Bypass, circumvent, or attempt to defeat any authentication mechanism, access control, or security measure.
- Access the account of another user without their authorization.
- Exploit any bug or vulnerability in the Service. (If you discover a vulnerability, please disclose it responsibly to [email protected].)
- Launch or participate in any denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack against the Service or any related infrastructure.
- Send an excessive volume of requests, scraping bots, spiders, crawlers, or automated scripts that impose an unreasonable load on our servers.
- Use the Service in any way that degrades performance or availability for other users.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or the data contained therein.
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits, feature gates, or any restriction.
- Impersonate any person or entity, including our employees, contractors, or other users.
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information to the Service, including payment information or contact details.
- Use the Service in connection with any scheme to defraud, mislead, or harm others.
- Misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization.
- Facilitate or engage in any form of market manipulation, pump-and-dump schemes, or coordinated inauthentic behavior using information derived from the Service.
- Copy, reproduce, republish, or systematically distribute any part of the Service or its content for commercial purposes or in a manner that substitutes for using the Service directly — provided, however, that sharing links to the Service on social media, and including screenshots of tool results or articles for personal commentary, criticism, or discussion, is expressly permitted and encouraged so long as FinanceCompass is clearly credited and the shared content is not misrepresented.
- Scrape, data-mine, harvest, or systematically download content, tool results, article text, data outputs, AI narratives, or any other material from the Service.
- Bulk-download analyses, tool outputs, or any other content through automated means.
- Frame, embed, or mirror any page or content from the Service within another website or application.
- Use the Service's content, data, design, or code as the basis for a competing product or service.
- Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or otherwise derive source code from any software that forms part of the Service.
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices contained in or on the Service.
- Use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms.
- Upload or transmit any viruses, worms, trojan horses, or any other malicious code.
- Attempt to collect or harvest personally identifiable information from other users.
- Use the Service in any manner that violates applicable law, regulation, or the rights of any third party.
5. Intellectual property
All content, design, graphics, user interfaces, code, databases, AI-generated narratives, tool logic, and other materials on the Service (“Content”) are owned by or licensed to FinanceCompass and are protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted no ownership rights in the Service or its Content. Personal, non-commercial reference use (e.g., citing a single result in a personal spreadsheet) is permitted. Any commercial use, redistribution, or systematic copying requires our prior written consent.
6. User-submitted content
If you submit content to the Service (such as contact form messages or feedback), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and improve the Service based on that content. You represent that you own or have the right to submit such content.
7. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans (Pro and Unlimited) are billed on a recurring basis through Stripe. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable advance notice. Fees paid are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, ACCURATE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. FINANCIAL DATA PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE MAY CONTAIN ERRORS AND SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON FOR TRADING OR INVESTMENT DECISIONS.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL FINANCECOMPASS, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR ANY FINANCIAL LOSSES — ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $50 USD.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FinanceCompass, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your use of the Service, or your violation of any third-party right.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. All provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.
12. Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Nevada, and you hereby consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.
